It is said that Beethoven and Haydn grew to not like each other, or their writings, but Beethoven still dedicated various works to Haydn. After studying with Haydn, he studied with Johann Schenk in the field of composition and counterpoint. And soon thereafter, studied with Antonio Salieri. Beethoven really didn't have a steady job.
